Job Description: Operates cardiac ultrasound equipment in order to provide optimal cardiac ultrasound studies according to heart station protocol.
Includes patient scheduling and prioritization, technical ability, documentation, and follow-up. Participates in orientation and instruction of students and assigned personnel. Collaborates with other staff and physicians for optimal patient care. Operates other cardiac equipment, as needed! .
The hours for this position will be Saturday and! Sunday, 7:30am-4pm, on a rotating basis, including holidays (if holiday falls on a weekend). Minimum Requirements: Successful completion of formal education program in cardiac ultrasound and/or must have had previous on-the-job training in cardiac ultrasound and experience in performance of cardiac ultrasound testing. If not currently registered, must obtain registration within one year of being hired. Must be able to commit to at least one weekend per month.
Influenza vaccination will be required for all personnel working within LVHN, who have patient contact, unless medically contraindicated or due to a bonafide religious belief or practice. Preferred Qualifications: Minimum one year experience performing adult and pediatric cardiac ultrasound. Experience in stress echo and TEE. Registration through national organization in cardiac ultrasound.
Licensure and Certifications: Current Basic Life Support certification.
