Non-Tenure Track Faculty Positions

Temple University's Occupational Therapy Program was ranked #31 in the 2012 U.S. News and World Report rankings and had a nearly 100% NBCOT pass rate for our 2012 MOT graduates. This forward thinking program seeks enthusiastic educators and scholars for multiple 9-month, full-time, non-tenure track faculty positions for the 2013-2014 academic year beginning in late August 2013. This unique OT program is part of the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences in the Temple's College of Health Professions and Social Work. In addition to our highly sought out MOT and DOT academic programs, our interdisciplinary Department includes nationally recognized academic programs in Therapeutic Recreation (B.S. and M.S.), and a Ph.D. in Health Ecology. Temple University serves a diverse population of over 39,000 students. The metropolitan setting is rich with opportunities for clinical training experiences for students and research co! llaboration for faculties that aligns with the department's mi! ssion of enhancing opportunities for individuals with disabilities or at-risk for long-term care disabilities to live full, active, and satisfying lives, in the community.

The ideal candidate for these positions will hold an earned doctorate, and have at least three years of clinical experience. Teaching experience is preferred. Candidates with an MOT or terminal degree in progress will be considered. Candidates must be initially certified by NBCOT and eligible for licensure as an occupational therapist in Pennsylvania. This is an open search, but we are specifically looking for candidates who are qualified in the areas of Pediatrics, Physical Disabilities, Adult Intervention or Community Mental Health Integration. Responsibilities will include teaching in our OT program at the Master's and Doctoral levels in traditional and on-line venues as well as other academic duties.

Consideration will also be given to doctoral level candidates from other disciplines! such as psychology, sociology, rehabilitation, social work, public health, therapeutic recreation, and special education, who would specifically teach our research courses and mentor student research experiences.
