Job Summary
This is a unique and highly visible position with responsibility for meeting with qualified practice managers and business owners at veterinarians, pediatricians, and oby-gyn women centers. The goal of the meeting is introducing our artwork to the businesses, confirming it qualifies and meets our standards for an artwork exhibit. This becomes a win-win solution as the businesses' walls are decorated with beautiful artwork at no cost to them and our brand awareness is increased.
The long-term goal is nurturing this relationship by rotating the artwork and featuring portraits of clients that both businesses have in common.
This position does include offices days at our studio in West Lawn where you will be using Microsoft Office programs including Word and Excel however, the majority of your time will be on the road visiting qualified businesses within 70 miles of our location and installing the artwork. You will be provided with a company car, laptop, cellphone and the latest mapping software to efficiently route the day.
In addition to being the sole staff member in charge of business to business development, this position shares trade show responsibilities. During the height of the trade show season, we often have 3 to 4 trade shows going on simultaneously on weekends. Responsibilities include loading and setting up the company booth at pet events, art shows, festivals and home and garden shows. The goal of a trade show is connecting with real prospects who show a true interest in our services and having them fill out a short contact card for a follow-up.
The trade shows are seasonal and most of the fun happens on weekends.
This position requires a passion for our artwork, strength & stamina to work trade shows combined with an outstanding work ethic. We are seeking a hard-working and motivated business developer to join our growing team.
