Locations: Palmdale, CaliforniaDescription:This classification requires on-the-job training and performance of diverse assignments related to Composites Fab and Assembler (RP4872) and the Composites Fab and Assembler, Sr. (RP4879) activities for the purpose of acquiring training and experience to satisfactorily perform the distinguishing requirements of the classification.
Employees will perform the functions of the above referenced classifications and must demonstrate successful completion of assignments with a level of oversight and instruction, where appropriate.
Moves, positions, holds or helps others in handling, moving and positioning such items as plastic parts and assemblies, molds, tools, equipment, fixtures and materials; prepares tooling used in plastics manufacturing by solvent washing, scraping and applying parting agents; cleans areas, equipment and manufacturing aids used in impregnating operations; perform such duties as drilling parts when drilling jigs or templates are supplied, sanding and burring parts, rough trimming flash, smoothing patched areas, applying sealing resins to cut edges, hand stamping parts for identification, wax polishing and pouring or spraying protective coating on parts, pouring and applying pressure bags and sheets, makes simple lay-ups under guidance of higher classified employees; builds up, finishes and assembles plastic parts under close observation and proximity of more experienced personnel where work operations are well established or are a matter of normal shop practice, production information is available and tooling is furnished for the purpose of acquiring training and experience to satisfactorily perform work operations encompassed in higher classifications.
Performs rework of the level of difficulty of the operations described above.
Performs various manual operations and assists others in the fabrication and assembly of plastic parts and assemblies.
May require ability to obtain and maintain Company licenses, certifications, and training as required for assigned tasks.
Returns tools (except project tools), equipment and material to storage areas.
Helps maintain work area in an orderly condition.
Uses blueprints, specifications, arithmetic including decimals and fractions, rules and measuring tapes.
A satisfactory assessment by the Company of the employee's performance will qualify the employee for upgrade.
Basic Qualifications:
Prior experience in manufacturing environments.
Basic computer operations.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
The base range for this position in California is $25.37 - $42.73.
