Position Summary: Perform Bausch + Lomb Pharmaceutical Medical Science Liaison activities within the states of New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Ohio. Specific Job Duties: 1) Answer medical information requests/questions from eye care professionals (MD/OD) as well as other healthcare professionals (Allergists, Pediatricians, Pharmacists, Technicians, Gov't buyers, etc.) 2) Identify, develop and maintain professional relationships and contact with Key Opinion Leader's (national, regional, and local ) that have been identified/assigned within the Mid-Atlantic territory 3) Facilitate national and global networking opportunities between Key Opinion Leader's and internal and external colleagues 4) Provide support/education to local Commercial personnel with regards to questions on B+L products or disease states 5) Identify needs/opportunities within geography for investigator initiated trials (IIT's) and assist with any doctor who requests help with the B+L submission process (Bausch.com) 6) Identify & support clinical research/Phase II-IV sites as required 7) Collects, analyzes, and communicates fair-balanced information concerning therapeutic area, treatment options, emerging standards of care, and competitive intelligence 8) Provides effective clinical presentations to internal and external audiences and tailors presentations to meet specific audience needs 9) Serves as a scientific expert at key medical and scientific conferences, advisory boards, clinical investigator meetings, internal meetings, and patient advocacy group meetings Bausch + Lomb is one of the best-known and most respected healthcare brands in the world, offering the widest and finest range of eye health products including contact lenses and lens care products, pharmaceuticals, intraocular lenses and other eye surgery products. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience working as a MSL with some background/experience in Ophthalmology preferred. The candidate should have strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication abilities. They must be willing to take initiative and work both independently and in a team environment. In addition, the position will require approximately 80% travel and will require effective time management and organizational skills.
