Job Summary: The Public Health Field Technician is an essential member of the Lead Poisoning Prevention Program. The Public Health Field Technician performs door-to-door screenings of children for lead poisoning and confirmatory venous blood lead levels, participates in the education of parents whose children may be at risk for lead poisoning and assists in the environmental inspection for the identification of lead hazards. Job Requirements: High School graduate or equivalent. One-year experience in phlebotomy including public contact in a health care agency or public service agency. A bility to work independently. Maintains a valid Pennsylvania Drivers License.
Preferred Qualifications: Graduate of MA Accredited program or equivalent experience preferred. Pediatric experience and/or public health experience helpful.
