EXPER! IENCE REQUIRED
Responsible for the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of an integrated lactation educational program for all Obstetrical, Family Medicine, and Pediatric patients. Coordinates and provides instruction for all medical and nursing staff. Works closely with team members such as, but not limited to, nurses, physicians, Social
Services, feeding team, and other maternal infant clinicians to ensure patient educational needs are met.
Reports to the NICU/Childbirth Center Operations Managers.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current Pennsylvania RN license.
2. Obtain CLC within one (1) year
3. One (1) year of lactation support experience preferred.
4. Two (2) years of inpatient Pediatric/OB experience preferred.
5. Obtain IBCL! C within five (5) years, preferred.
