Registered nurse with a bachelor's degree in nursing or other registered health care provider (e.g. pharmacist, respiratory therapist). Mi! nimum of five years’ experience in pediatric clinical setting, and/or hospital risk management experience.

- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint desirable.
- Able to handle and organize multiple tasks
- Able to work in a fast paced environment
- Good judgment and the ability to offer practical advice

The Medical-Legal Coordinator, acting under the direction, supervision and control of the Office of General Counsel, and reporting to that office through the Director of Risk Management, suppor! ts the institution’s clinical risk management activities, in! cluding assisting in the defense of claims against the institution or its staff, investigating patient events/incidents, administering the risk management program on a day-to-day basis, conducting risk management educational programs, and serving on hospital committees, all with the objective of promoting patient safety, enhancing quality of care, and controlling and minimizing loss to protect the financial assets of the institution.
