JOB SUMMARY: Coordinates nutrition care services and nutrition education activities across the health system for area of responsibility (renal or pediatric). Instills and maintains a customer service approach throughout all aspects of the responsibility area.

Meets the qualifications to provide care for patients in the specific target population and/or age range in assigned clinical area. Works with the Director, Clinical Nutrition to coordinate the various services under her/his direction.

Performs duties to provide the highest level of patient care and maximize patient and client satisfaction.

Works under the guidance of the Director, Clinical Nutrition and in collaboration with the Manager, Clinical Nutrition in the Northeast when necessary.

COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

• Demonstrates current knowledge of nutrition and an awareness of trends and developments in designated area and clinical nutrition management.
• Demonstrates! a detail-oriented workstyle with strong communication, planni! ng, organizing and time management skills.
• Demonstrates high degree of creativity, futuristic vision, negotiation skills and team orientation.
• Demonstrates knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

:

• Bachelors Degree in Nutrition or related area and registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration required.
• Master's Degree in Nutrition or related field required.
• In lieu of Master s Degree, must hold and maintain specialty certification related to designated area as well as show significant interest and competence in designated nutrition area as demonstrated by prior work experience.
• Out-of-state applicants must obtain license within four (4) months of hire. Must maintain current license to practice dietetics in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Minimum of 3-5 years work experience in designated area in a clinical setting required.
• Must ! possess a strong background in clinical nutrition. At least 1-year management experience preferred or must demonstrate an interest in management related to designated area.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Work is typically performed in a clinical/office environment.
• May require some travel to sites within the health system.
