POSITION LOCATION: Philadelphia, PA
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manager, Pharmacy Informatics is responsible for the development, building, implementation and ongoing maintenance of all aspects of pharmacy-related applications, clinical information systems, and computerized pharmacy systems, software and hardware. Supports resolution of all general computer related issues within the pharmacy department. Represents pharmacy on the I.S. Systems Manager Council. Provides resource expertise for planning additional pharmacy information technology projects. May perform other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy with health informatics experience or Pharm.D. with informatics experience in a pediatric hospital setting. Knowledge/experience in pharmacy informatics and automation typically acquired through 2-3 years experience in hospital pharmacy operations and 2 years of focused experience in the maintenance, operation and implementation of pharmacy informatics and or automati! on. Knowledge and experience in data maintenance for pharmacy ! to include maintaining appropriate drug dictionaries, interfaces, and order sets. Ability to develop ad-hoc reports from various systems and provide initial analysis of data.
