Job Summary:
The Charge Nurse is a registered nurse ! who practices at the level of a proficient to expert practitioner of nursing thereby demonstrating competence in caring for patients with moderate to complex health issues. She/He demonstrates leadership skills through contribution to improving quality of care and achieving Section/Department goals. Assumes leadership position in directing and managing staff and serves as a role model for other medical support staff and preceptor for new employees. Assumes managerial and leadership responsibilities for assigned area and is responsible for all clinical and support positions within the combined practices of Ambulatory Pediatrics. Is keenly aware of budgetary goals related to FTEs in department and oversees on a daily basis. Acts as clinical/administrative resource to staff and partners with practice management to develop and recommend operational enhancements. Oversees the day to day workflow for patient care, assessment and treatment in the primary care environment.

Qualifications

Training & Education:

Bachelorâs degree required; Masters preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of three years experience in progressively responsible positions. Management, supervisory experience preferred.
Supervisory Responsibility:
Responsible for all clinical, administrative ! and support positions assigned to department.

Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nurse Examiners required. Current BLS
