Our Specialized Travel Consultant will work in a dedicated (exclusive relationship to one client) high-touch service environment to book travel and accommodations for one of our top clients; a high-profile media, communications, and entertainment business located in Englewood, CO. You’ll collaborate with your Ovation team and partner with the client to be the point person for all things travel. The travel consultant will provide expert concierge services to busy VIP executive and corporate travelers to ensure a personalized, creative and timely travel experience.

What You’ll Do
  • Act as the first point of contact for all travel related inquires, travel booking, travel itineraries, new traveler profile set-up, and profile maintenance.
  • Book domestic and complex international itineraries, including air, rail, car, and hotel accommodations using Sabre
  • Research and solve issues, providing priority wait-listing, preferred seat selection, and upgrades as needed
  • Build connections with travelers to understand traveler preferences in order to provide white glove service
  • Comprehend and comply with company travel policies; securing prior authorization for exceptions as needed
  • Understand and leverage preferred vendor accounts and contracts to maximum volume discounts and perks through favorable contracts
  • Create and maintain traveler profiles, ensuring credit cards, documents (TSA, passports, visas), and traveler loyalty programs are active and up to date
  • Assist travelers in the registration of preferred vendor loyalty programs, and assist with status bumps
  • Ensure travel is booked such that company subsidiaries, and business accounts are tracked and billed accordingly
  • Assist client employees with questions on the online booking tool
  • Work pro-actively with the client to provide feedback on issues, opportunities, and look for opportunities to improve processes.
  • Assist accounting in identifying reports or processes for travel-related reconciliation.
  • Communicate effectively with customers over the telephone, messaging (chat), e-mail, and/or back-office systems
  • Proactively seeks out information related to airline rules, regulations, and current affairs

What We’re Looking For
  • High school diploma is required. Associate degree preferred.
  • Ability to successfully complete a background check
  • At least 5 years- recent experience arranging travel for C-suite and professional business clientele
  • A minimum of 3 years Sabre GDS full-functional use experience
  • Ability to use Sabre to execute seat assignments and upgrades, create and submit itineraries, ticketing, exchanges, refunds, revalidations, unused ticket management, vouchers, MCO’s, etc.
  • A high competency level of fares and ticketing with the ability to determine fare rules quickly and accurately
  • Extensive expertise of domestic and international airports and cities, as well as inherent logistics as it relates to business & corporate travel
  • Display a high level of decisive and successful problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to provide a highly professional yet personal service.
  • Exemplary communication, both written and verbal
  • Experience in MS Word and Excel
  • Passionate about exceeding excellence in client service, using creativity and travel industry expertise to go above and beyond for clients
  • Ability to work independently and consistently in the absence of supervision
  • Experience working collaboratively with Account Management, Operations management, high profile clientele, and in a team environment

The US national hourly wage range for this position is from $20.00 to $35.00 per hour. The national range provided includes the hourly rate that GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual hourly wage rate will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
