WORK SCHEDULE
: Evenings: 3 PM to 11:30 pm Monday - Friday. Rotate every other weekend 3PM! to 11:30 PM. Rotate holidays 3PM TO 11:30 PM with second shift radiologic technologists. Provide call coverage for third shift in rotation with radiologic technologists.

POSITION SUMMARY
Administers prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis for adult, adolescent and pediatric patients. Provides patient services using imaging modalities requiring independent judgment and must be performed at a technical level, not requiring constant supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Graduate of formal radiologic technology training in an approved ARRT program. American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) required
Experience:
Experience in general diagnostic radiographic procedures, including trauma, portable, fluoro and operating room highly desirable.
Specific Requirements:
! Must be able to speak, write and understand the English langu! age to effectively communicate with predominantly English-speaking population. Clerical perception to perceive pertinent detail in technical charts and instructions relating to specific radiologic procedures. Manual dexterity to perceive detail in machines and supportive devices. Medium strength to position and lift patients. Standing, pushing and reaching. Talking and hearing to give instructions to patients, near visual acuity and depth perception. Inside work; electrical and radiant energy hazards present; wears protective gloves and apron during certain procedures; must wear film badge and have periodic blood counts to detect any effects of radiation. Preference for scientific and technical activities to master principles, techniques and procedures of radiology. Preference for processes, machines and techniques in obtaining radiographs, developing satisfactory radiographs by following set procedures and standards. Ability to evaluate information based on measurable and ! verifiable criteria. Ability to make contact with people who may be under physical and emotional stress, severe trauma cases, and terminally ill patients.
