Description: Grand View Hospital is at present looking to employ Registered Dietitian, RD, Part Time, Days, Mon, Wed or Th (Dietician) right now, this occupation will be reside in Pennsylvania. Applies nutrition knowledge to a variety of patient populations ranging! from pediatrics (ages 1 month to 16 years), adolescents (ages 13-17), adults (ages 17-64) and geriatrics (ages 65+) in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Effectively completes nutrition assessment and care planning. Understands the relationship of nutrition and medical therapy. Remains abreast of advances in nutrition. Integrates nutrition into the interdisciplinary care of the patient. Provides continuity of care with an emphasis on beneficial outcomes to the patient. Communicates effectively to patients and members of the department and healthcare team using a variety of communication styles and tools. Provides nutritional care and counseling to Home Care patients as per protocol guidelines. Provides inpatient and outpatient education as appropriate. Provides nutrition training to hospital and department staff. Conducts nutrition education for the community at health fairs, lectures, workshops and other types of presentations. Performs public speaking as required.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Food and! Nutrition.
Registered Dietitian status as a member of the American Dietetic Association required.
