Position Overview
Our client is looking for a Clinical Manager to overs! ee clinical operations for its Elkins Park, PA market.
The Clinical Director is responsible for the clinical direction of all licensed and non-licensed services provided, and is accountable for the agency's adherence to federal, state and CHAP standards. The Clinical Director will be directly involved with the development and implementation of the agency's new skilled nursing initiatives and pediatric service lines. The Clinical Director will direct a team of RN clinical supervisors overseeing hourly and live-in home health aide services.
Responsibilities:
- Assures compliance with all local, state, and federal laws regarding the provision of services and the licensure/certification of staff
- Aassists in the development of the agency's skilled nursing and private duty nursing programs, and will directly supervise the clinical aspects of the agency
- Ensures that all licensed and/or client care is physician directed as requi! red by current standards of practice or federal, state or loca! l regulation.
- All home care services provided by the agency by direct oversight of the initial assessment of clients, reviewing client care plans and appropriate level(s) of service, supervising the implementation, coordination, maintenance, evaluation and termination of care plans and service(s).
- Ensures proper maintenance of medical records as mandated by local, state and federal law.
- Ensures physician orders are current and being followed precisely by agency personnel.
- Implements and evaluates the training and development programs for all professional nursing staff.
- Ensures the agency maintains a good standing in the medical community. Guides and develops the policies and procedures of the Agency · Participates as needed in the Agency's overall sales and marketing efforts Requirements
- Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Philadelphia (BSN preferred)
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a professional nurse wi! th at least two years administrative/supervisory experience in home health care (both adult and pediatric).
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem resolution skills · Proven ability to lead and motivate a team
- High-tech/acute nursing and pediatric experience preferred
- Desire to make a difference daily though outstanding customer service and creative clinical management skills Requirements
- Current PA or NJ RN or license
- Current Driver's License or access to transportation
- 6 months experience as a RN or LPN in the past 12 months
