CRNP - Nurse Practitioner
2+ years preferred
Nurse Practitioner for a busy Outpatient Pediatric location in Allentown PA. This position will deal extensively with children with developmental needs.
In collaboration with the pediatrician, the Nurse Practitioner is responsible for the direct care and follow-up of pediatric patients. Primary duties include but are not limited to performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting screening and laboratory tests, ord! ering and interpreting common diagnostic procedures, assessing! and diagnosing pediatric patients that fall within the expertise and knowledge of the NP and in collaboration with physician.
Additionally the NP will provide appropriate follow up care, consult with physicians and other health care providers when necessary, coordinate patient care and make appropriate referrals, identify community resources and coordinate referrals for problems beyond the scope of practice, and advocate for patients and their families.
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. MSN required.
Pennsylvania RN licensure required
NP licensure required
3 years of suitable CRNP/RN experience strongly preferred.
