SUMMARY: The speech and language pathologist (SLP) provides a full range of comprehensive services for children v! arying in ages. Provides the necessary services based on the individual requirements of each child. Travel may be required between schools within the district in some cases.
EDUCATION: A masters degree in Speech Language Pathology, Speech and Hearing Sciences or Communication Disorders is required, as is a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association or the meeting of requirements for certificate of clinical Competence within the first year of employment.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Licensed by the State Department to practice Speech/ Language Pathology or eligible to obtain such license is also required. Two years pediatric speech/language pathology experience is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
SCHEDULE: Full time employment involves working Monday through Friday, school hours. Part time employment involves working 2 â€" 4 days, school hours.
