Sales Assistant [Finland]

In Valmet’s Pulp & Energy business line we serve a wide variety of customers around the world with for example complete pulp mills, heat and power generation solutions and environmental protection systems. We are now looking for a Sales Assistant to support our pulp mill sales function, which owns the project sales process and coordinates mega pulp mill sales cases. This is a fixed term job alternation leave substitution (vuorotteluvapaan sijaisuus) for 1.8.2023-31.1.2024.
In this role you will help coordinate the internal work and documents needed in the sales projects. This will include scheduling and collecting materials from different departments, as well as preparing documents and presentations yourself. You will take part in sales documentation management in P&E level and support in maintaining related databases and templates to ensure harmonised documentation across departments. You could also participate in our CRM system development and maintenance. Supporting sales management with travel and meeting arrangements is also a part of the job. Our sales process has a lot of participants and phases, so your support might be needed in a variety of tasks along the way.
Expectations for you
To qualify for job alternation leave substitution, you need to fill the following requirements at the start of the employment:
  • you must be registered as an unemployed job seeker in the TE Services, AND
  • you have been registered as an unemployed jobseeker in the TE Services for a minimum of 90 days during the 14 months preceding the substitution OR
  • you are under the age of 30 and have graduated with a vocational or higher education degree less than a year ago OR
  • you are under the age of 25 or over the age of 55 at the start of the job alternation period.
Also, you should have an applicable education (for example Business Administration or International Business) and preferably some experience from related tasks. We expect you to have fluent English skills, and other language skills are highly appreciated. You need good IT skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and willingness to learn new tools. You need good communication and networking skills, and you are not afraid to reach out to people for information and support, as these sales cases involve our whole organization. Your way of working is organized but you can flexibly adapt to changes.
