Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC is currently hiring a full-time equipment aide to help support the day to day operations of the NICU and 8A at their Lawrenceville campus in the city of Pittsburgh. This position is a rotating shift. You will monitor all supplies and equipment, and facilitate maintenance in an assigned area.
Responsibilities
- order unit specific supplies and equipment and ensure that adequate amounts are available on the unit
- identify needed repairs, maintenance, and cleaning of unit specific equipment according to procedures
- enters online requests for repairs to facilities and keeps accurate records of maintenance performed
- assists with assigned quality monitoring including, but not limited to, maintaining refrigerator and temperature logs and point of care testing
- responsible for accurate record keeping and quality checks of equipment
- high school diploma is required
- knowledge of computers and work experience in a medical environment is preferred
- interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with health care team members, patients, parents and visitors is required
- ability to maintain appropriate par levels of supplies and equipment in multiple departments is required
- ACT 33 is required within 30 days of hire
- ACT 73 is required within 30 days of hire
