- Responsible for assisting the Parent-Child Counselor! planning, implementation and evaluation of all Parent-Child activities.
- Attendance at staff meetings in which information about parent-child interactions, observable assessments/referrals, and activities of the Parent-Child Center is shared with the treatment team.
- Collaboration with the Parent-Child Counselor (Educator) in the development of curriculum and activities for parents.
- Providing child care for children while parents are attending group sessions, as well as during emergency situations.
- Assist with completing children¿s intake forms, immunization records, pediatric appointments, and filing of all children¿s medical records;
- Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the University.
- All clearances must be obtained and resubmitted every two years: Child Abuse, Act 73, and Criminal checks.
- Minimum of one year of experience ! in group work with young children is preferred.
- Exper! ience working with parents is desirable.
- High School Diploma or GED Required.
- 25 credit hours or equivalent in early childhood education, child development, special education, developmental psychology, childcare, or a related field is desired.
- Associates Degree in one of these fields is preferred.
