Job Summary:
The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner provides direct advanced nursing care! from neonatal through adult in the Section of Developmental Pediatrics for outpatient general developmental pediatric, Neonatal Follow-Up Program and Spina Bifida Program patients.
Skills & Abilities:
Demonstrates ability to handle multiple projects. Demonstrates ability to learn effectively and communicate verbally and in writing. Works independently. Has ability to make sound, reasonable judgments using analytical and problem solving approaches to patient care. Demonstrate knowledge of patient/family outcome management. Demonstrates ability to accurately perform age-specific assessments on children from neonates through adolescents. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psychological, developmental, social, educational, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served in their service area.
Qualifications
Training & Education:
Masters in! Nursing. Graduate of a certified nursing practitioner program! . A minimum of one year experience in an advance practice nursing role.
Experience:
Prior work experience suitable for the position is preferred.
Supervisory Responsibility:
None.
Required Licenses :
Licensed to practice as a registered nurse and certified registered nurse practitioner in Pennsylvania. National certification in ANCC or NAPNAP preferred.
