Dental Billing Specialist - Remote position

Our dental practice network is seeking to add a full-time, dedicated, Dental Billing Specialist to work remotely from home!

Qualifications:

Extensive knowledge of Dental Insurances and Provider participation rules, including:

• In-depth knowledge of PPO, HMO, and DMO policies
• Complete understanding of dental EOB’s, patient deductibles, co pays, and third-party correspondents
• Ability to verify benefit coverages
• Ability to calculate patient deductibles, co-payments, insurance and patient financial responsibilities
• Ability to efficiently reconcile patient accounts

Possess exceptional personal and interpersonal skills, including:

1. Strong written and verbal communication skills

2. Excellent organizational skills and attention to details

3. Ability to work independently

4. Commitment to only “5-star” patient support

5. Ability to work with sensitive information confidentiality and adhere to company policies

Responsibilities include:

a. Answer and return phone calls, emails and chats from patients with billing questions

b. Effectively review and research claim denials and contact payers to verify detailed denial reasons, when necessary

c. Navigate and research dental reimbursement policies and exclusions

d. Effectively explain EOB’s and communicate financial responsibilities to patients

e. Request and process payments from patients with balances owed.

f. Adhere to all HIPPA guidance/regulations

g. Maintain a professional demeanor with patients and staff at all times

Requirements:

a. Minimum 5 years experience working exclusively with patients, accounts and dental insurances

b. Must demonstrate complete understanding of the above qualifications during the interview process.
