Successful completion of the examination given by The American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or registry eligible at time of hire. Must be registered (A! RDMS) within the first year of employment. Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound program. A minimum of two years of Ultrasound experience preferred. Pediatric experience desirable. Knowledge of all types of Ultrasound imaging Knowledge of Radiology Information Systems Provides Family Centered Care Integrates knowledge and assessment of child and family (Age- Specific Competency) Ability to work independent of supervision Good organizational skills Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills Able to handle multiple tasks
Responsible for maintaining the continuing education required for this position. Completes all on-line mandatory education required by hospital Obtains 12 CE credits/year
All CHOP employees who work in a patient building or who provide patient care are required to receive an annual influenza vaccine unless they are granted a medical or religious exemption.
