We are looking for nurses to work per diem in all inpatient and ou! tpatient areas, including HVI critical care, neuro critical care dialysis, endoscopy, med/surg, PICU, PIMCU, NICU, adult medical and surgical critical care, emergency department and infusion room.
Nurses will work within one specific unit as part of the unit's float pool. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care for a designated group of patients.
Previous Internal Plan A employees or External RN candidates with 4 years clinically-related service line-specific experience.
Registered Nurse with license to practice professional nursing in the state of Pennsylvania, or Registered Nurse from another state with a Temporary PA Practice Permit.
Six months RN experience.
Able to sit occasionally; stand constantly; walk frequently.
Able to lift/carry 0-10 lbs frequently; 11-50 lbs occasionally.
Able to push/pull 0-20 lbs frequently; 21-75 lbs occasionally.
Able to climb occas! ionally; reach constantly.
Able to use hand for simpl! e/firm grasping.
PLAN A REQUIREMENTS:
Must work 12 hours per Schedule (may work 4-, 8- or 12-hour increments).
Competencies in addition to your work schedule.
6 12-hour shifts (any increments) weekend and/or off-shifts and/or on-call per year.
1 minor (8 hours) rotating holiday per calendar year (Jan-Jan).
On odd years (2013, 2015), will work 8 hours before a minor holiday and 8 before a major holiday.
On even years (2014, 2016), will work 8 hours after a minor holiday and 8 hours after a major holiday.
Please give all availability for the schedule at scheduling time - will schedule a total of 28 hours for RNs. Following that, we will continue to schedule per your availability. We will not schedule overtime.
Only mandatory education for units is paid time.
All Plan A RNs will be part of the floating rotation of the unit.
At least 3 years of recent acute care or critical care! experience.
Telemetry and ACLS.
If chosen for this position, you will be required to pass a Post Offer Employment Physical Exam in accordance with the measurements listed in the (WTA) Work Task Analysis report.
