Description: Lancaster General Hospital is employing Enterostomal Nurse Educator right now, this vacancy will be presented in Pennsylvania. SUMMARY : Manages the education and delivery of ostomy, skin, and draining wound care to patients by educating nursing personnel and nursing students within the Dep! artment of Nursing. Patient care includes care to patients in the following age groups: neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients. Patient care includes care to patients in the following age groups: neonatal (birth to 30 days), pediatric (30 days through 12 years), adolescent (13 through 18 years), adult (19 through 64 years), and geriatric (65 years and above).
REQUIREMENTS :
- Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse, issued by the PA State Board of Nursing.
- National certification (CWOCN â€" certified wound, ostomy, continence nurse) by the Wound Ostomy, Continence Nursing Certification Board (WOCNCB) within three years.
- Two (2) years of experience in a clinically related field.
- Strong communication/interpersonal skills.
- A health care provider in good standing with Medicare, Medicaid and other federal and state health insurance p! rograms, i.e. not excluded from participation in Medicare, Med! icaid or any other federal or state health insurance program.
- Previous experience leading support groups/counseling is preferred.
